About this site.
I wanted a small personal homepage with a little of the character that made the early web fun to explore. Something direct, with room to play.
A small set of ingredients.
Every page is ordinary HTML, styled with CSS. JavaScript adds the optional experiments and catalog filters. The text, links, and navigation work without it.
The pixel lettering is Departure Mono by Helena Zhang and Tobias Fried. The font is served from this site, with its MIT license.
A few connected threads.
The homepage network lets you turn the different threads of my work around in space, highlight topics, and follow a connection to its page. Signals travel continuously through the network. Select a node to change the signal color, or reset the map to start again.
The map respects reduced-motion preferences and stops animating when it is out of view or the tab is hidden. Its destinations are also ordinary links, so the interaction is never required to explore the site.
A growing record.
The archive connects my current work with my earlier life and businesses. Personal stories are my recollections; outside sources are linked where they help establish the historical record. Product pages state what’s available and what’s still being developed.
This site does not use analytics cookies or third-party embeds. Purchasing and downloads are not available yet. External videos and social profiles open on their own services.
