How Your Story Is Your Superpower
I didn’t think anyone was going to read my first book. It didn’t matter. I knew from first-hand experience with death that life could be taken from me at any moment, so I was obsessive about leaving behind something worthwhile.
I didn’t have a following: Strangers still bought my book.
I didn’t have credentials or previous publishings, but every class of people has read my book, and paying it compliments.
Strangers write me to share how my story saved their life. Strangers took my advice to heart, and applied it to their own lives.
Others read how I was able to re-write my story, and believed they could too – Partnering with the Universe, God, or the quantum field of reality, to synthesize the past, clarify the present, and co-author the future.
Knowledge is free: Experience is expensive. Nobody can win the knowledge race, so knowledge-hoarding is a time-waste.
Our experiences determine who we are, so it is all we have in the end.
What expert is anybody but that of their own personal experience? We are each the expert of our own experience. Your story is all you have – And it can be re-written.
When I was suicidal, I wrote a note to myself about all the things I wish I would’ve done differently, and what I wanted to accomplish before I die.
“Get busy with life’s purpose, toss aside empty hopes, get active in your own rescue—if you care for yourself at all—and do it while you can.”
Writing that death note was the single-most transformative form of prayer I’ve ever experienced.
We hold the power of our story, so we have the power to change our lives.
I started categorically righting my wrongs, and writing my story as I went along. Past, my present, and future – All three containing keys to unlock my highest self-truths.
Writing a book about that inspired others to do the same in their own lives.
The pen is mightier than the sword I would’ve used to kill myself. And others who’ve read my writing have already attested to the same conviction.
With it, we are synthesizing our past, strategizing our future, and soothing our present.
What about you? If you’re feeling stuck or lost, nothing cuts through existential clutter like the pen and paper. I’m still writing my story every day.
God loves those who play the game like they’re on their last life.
Stop playing life passively – Get active in your own rescue. God loves a good superhero origin story.
